Cade Brings Inventivity to Alachua with Pop-Up Workshop at Good Life Station

Families in Alachua, get ready—Inventivity is coming to Main Street!

The Cade Museum for Creativity and Invention is excited to bring our hands-on learning experiences directly to the community with a special Pop-Up Workshop at Good Life Station, happening Saturday, November 8 from 9:00–10:30 a.m. in the heart of downtown Alachua.

Designed for curious kids ages 7–11, this drop-off workshop invites young learners to explore creativity, observation, and problem-solving through interactive experiments and challenges inspired by history’s greatest inventors. During this session, participants will dive into our “What’s the Matter?” theme, discovering the fascinating world of solids, liquids, and gases—and how understanding the states of matter can spark innovation.

While kids are busy inventing and experimenting, parents are encouraged to enjoy all that downtown Alachua has to offer. Take a stroll through the Downtown Alachua Farmers Market, explore nearby shops, or relax at local attractions. Adults who prefer to stay are welcome to quietly observe the workshop.

This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to strengthening community connections through creativity and learning.

“In just one morning, the synergy between the Cade’s expert programming and Good Life Station’s neighborhood-centric, future-forward hub helped light sparks of imagination in children, supported downtown commerce and advanced our shared vision for Alachua as a place where creativity, business and community thrive together. We look forward to many more opportunities like this, and strongly encourage stakeholders, donors and colleagues to invest in (and expand) this model of community-based innovation.”
Michele Lee, Owner of Good Life Station and Alachua Chamber Leader

At the Cade Museum, we believe innovation happens everywhere—and this pop-up workshop is just one way we’re meeting families where they are, bringing Inventivity® Education beyond our museum walls and into communities across the region.

We can’t wait to see Alachua’s young inventors in action!
