Cade's Inventivity Movement is bringing invention-themed workshops into communities beyond the Cade Museum, with a focus on rural towns where families have fewer options. This year, five workshops have served 81 kids, and we plan to launch five Inventivity Communities by the end of 2026. In this post, CEO Brad Gamble's central lesson is that repetition builds momentum: the fourth workshop in Alachua was the first to reach full capacity, as families grew familiar with Cade, partnerships strengthened, and delivery improved. Cade has identified four conditions for success (a community champion, a reliable venue, funding, and local awareness) and now uses the museum as a training ground for educators and curriculum, with 20% of its 200+ activities adapted for community use.

Cade’s The Great Experiment exhibit was experienced by thousands of families in Washington, D.C. during America’s 250th celebration. Over 12 days, kids explored invention through immersive science activities—building curiosity, courage, resilience, and humility—while families discovered the constitutional roots of innovation and the origins of Gatorade.
